OR Tech / Surgical Tech We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for use. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by passing instruments and providing necessary support. Utilize basic life support techniques as needed to ensure patient safety. Collect data and maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures and patient care. Follow established protocols for aseptic technique to prevent infections. Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure. Collaborate with team members in an ambulatory surgery center setting to provide optimal patient outcomes. Stay informed about advancements in surgical techniques and technologies relevant to the role. Experience Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred, with familiarity in operating rooms (OR) being highly beneficial. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the surgical team. Experience with suturing techniques is advantageous, particularly in pediatrics or emergency medicine environments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.
