*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team to give back to America’s heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Bangor.

*Summary*
* Part-time, 1-2 days / week
* $850-900 / day
* 5 appts / day
* No treating or prescribing
* No refraction

*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. *No refraction required*
* Diagnose visual disorders and document findings
* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.
* Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.

*Experience*
* Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state license to practice optometry. *Maine license required.*
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.
* Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
* Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.

Pay: $850.00 - $900.00 per day

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* No nights
* No weekends

License/Certification:
* Optometry License (Maine) (Required)

Ability to Commute:
* Bangor, ME 04401 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
* Bangor, ME 04401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
