**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our Nutrition Assistant, you will interact daily with patients, families, visitors, and staff. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about. Every day, you will provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will follow the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. You will collaborate with the facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. If you are committed to social justice and health equity and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. **Responsibilities:** + Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests. + Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production. + Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions, while ensuring an aesthetically pleasing presentation. + Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, delivering meals to patients, etc. **This is a PRN role (Per Diem or As Needed) that is non-benefitted, with no set schedule. Must be able to work early morning shifts and late evening shifts** **Job Requirements** **Minimum:** + One (1) year of Food Service experience + A Food Handlers Permit Within 30-days of Hire **Preferred:** + High School Diploma + Cashier experience **Where You'll Work** Hello humankindness ( Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 197 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Gilbert, Arizona.
