Nutrition & Exercise Physiology Faculty Position All Ranks Tenured/Tenure-Track The University of Missouri, Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (NEP), is seeking applications from candidates with an emerging or established scholarly research program that will capitalize on the available physical resources and enhance the strengths of our academic unit. Synergy with existing investigators in NEP and across campus is encouraged. Strong research areas in NEP and on campus include metabolism, obesity, type 2 diabetes, neuroscience, cardiovascular disease, and lifestyle factors including, but not limited to, diet, exercise and sleep. A strong history of collaboration across academic units exists. We are open to candidates whose research expertise can strengthen or complement these areas through basic science, clinical research, or behavioral and community work. It is expected the faculty will also contribute to the educational missions, including graduate and medical student education.NEP is housed both in the School of Medicine and the Division of Food, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences in the College Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a PhD in nutrition, exercise physiology or a closely related discipline with postdoctoral research experience.
Candidates will be evaluated on: - Demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding
- Publications in high-impact journals
