Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with expertise in AWS to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for API development, ensuring seamless data exchange between the server and users. This role requires a self-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building scalable and efficient backend solutions.

This is a 1 year contract to hire opportunity and it will be 100% onsite in Dallas, TX.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of APIs and backend systems.
• Work with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (including EC2 and serverless solutions like Lambda).
• Implement API security protocols (OAuth, JWT) and user authentication mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, UX designers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in full product lifecycle development.
• Utilize DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and microservices architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in backend/API development.
• Expertise in Node.js and API development.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-based development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and background task management.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Experience working on large-scale projects within enterprise environments.
