Ministry Cordinator - iFit Special Needs Ministry

Purpose: To lead the iFit ministry in preparation for weekly iFit services, timely communication and follow up with iFit families and planning and execution of iFit ministry activities.

Responsibilities:

Help to identify and implement plan of action for children and families joining our iFit team

Assist in the effort to recruit, oversee, train, communicate with and empower volunteers to serve in iFit including weekend staffing

Modify curriculum to meet the needs of iFit students, teens and adults

Welcome families and children into iFit for Sunday service

Become familiar with each child and their needs

Ensure that each child is receiving the gospel in the best way for them to process and learn the truth of God's love for them

Follow up with all new families that attend and provide them with our resources

Onboard new families in ROCK data base

Follow up with all families who have been out more than 2 weeks

Meet with families annually to discuss the needs and concerns that may be present, as well as to assess that the child is receiving the best individualized care and maintaining growth

Meet with iFit Director weekly

Assist with planning and execution of iFit community outreach events

Attend church at River Pointe on a regular basis and commit to personal spiritual growth

Qualifications:

General knowledge of children with special needs

•Background working with special education helpful

•Ability to modify curriculum to meet the needs of each child

•Confidence in communicating with parents, volunteers, and children

•Ability to work independently as well as partner with other team members

•Proficiency in Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

•Willingness and ability to become proficient in the use of ROCK database

•A passion for people, for children, and for the Lord

Full Time - 40 hours per week to include:

o 27 office hours - days and times to be agreed upon/Monday: work from home

o Sunday 8:00 am-2:00 pm River Pointe Community Church
