The Mechanical Assembler I at Aqua-Chem requires a level of mechanical aptitude conducive to learning new skills with a desire to learn.
Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)
Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00/hr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties: \n - Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
\n - Perform basic duties such as bending metal tubing with the use of rolling and bending machines.
\n - Ability to run a cold and cutoff saw.
\n - Perform basic assembly of metal materials as part of a larger assembly production.
\n - Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space as well as around the manufacturing floor as requested.
\n - Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.
\n - Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper workflow.
\n - Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
\n - Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble components.
\n - Safety awareness with the willingness to perform duties safely while wearing proper PPE.
\n - Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience: \n - Must be a U.S. Citizen
\n - High School Diploma/GED required
\n - Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs.
\n - Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures.
\n - Able to work overtime as required

Requirements: \n - At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
\n - Basic shop math and measurement skills
\n - Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings
\n
