Job Overview:

The Marketing Events Coordinator at ISN will assist in executing our plan of dynamic and energizing events to drive new and existing business within our major event schedule. The Marketing Events Coordinator will work directly with the Marketing Events Manager and assist with the planning and execution of events from start to finish. This will include selecting venues, creating and managing budgets, management of event timelines and schedules, arranging event services, monitoring client satisfaction, overseeing tasks throughout the process, and ensuring the completion of a successful event.

The ideal candidate is organized and understands our industry and company. They will be able to coordinate multiple moving parts and even last-minute changes or handle obstacles with minimal disruption. They will possess a keen sense of our organizational needs and how events fit into our customer experience and communication plan. Most of all they will understand all aspects of ISN and its internal processes to ensure that the events are highly successful.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

* Assisting in driving new and existing business through creating quality events ISN's major event calendar

* Actively participate in the management of event timelines and schedules

* Ensure timely and thorough communication regarding the major event schedule is disseminated within ISN team, suppliers and customers to drive participation

* Actively engage team to maximize events as revenue generating opportunities. Activities include:

* Tracking and confirming registered participants

* Partnering with Sales and Category teams to finalize all participant details

* Partnering with team to ensure adequate event marketing/advertising is in place to build excitement and awareness

* Maintain and share reporting on progress towards goals during all phases of the event cycle (planning, execution, and post)

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external partners

* Coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and teammates to ensure all logistics are in place.

* Assist with managing the registration process at the venue and provide on-site event support to registration desk volunteers.

* Serve as an onsite point of contact to coordinate activities including set up, venue access, event operations, and tear down

* Maintain accurate records of event details, contacts, and feedback.

* Travel for activities related to the events supported, including some overnight travel, based on business needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

* High School diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred

* Experience may substitute for a degree.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in an events coordination or a marketing support role

In order to be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experience is required:

* Familiarity with planning and executing large-scale events with intricate details and many moving parts; preferably in a corporate environment

* Technical Knowledge: Proficient with MS Office 365 applications including advanced Excel experience (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.); Access or SQL knowledge is preferred, familiarity with Smartsheet and CRMs, such as HubSpot, is a plus

* Strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Prior experience creating, managing, and reporting on budgets

* Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; has managed multiple projects at once with tight deadlines

* Experience communicating detailed information with diverse audiences, both in oral presentations and in writing

* Ability to develop a thorough understanding of ISN's business to include: internal processes, customers, team members, and suppliers; prior experience within the automotive aftermarket or tool distribution is helpful
