We are in search of a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Legal Intake Specialist based in Austin, Texas. Our team is oriented and driven by a mission to assist our clients effectively. We specialize in various immigration services including Residency, Deportation Proceedings, Consular Processing, Family Petitions, Asylum, Naturalization, Appeals, Waivers, Work Permits, U-Visa/T-Visa, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Special Immigrant Juvenile Petition (SIJ), and Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage the front desk operations, handle heavy phone traffic, client communications, and legal intake processes.
- Conduct preliminary claim investigations, legal research, and initial case evaluations.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents with the court.
- Execute administrative tasks such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Maintain indexes for pleadings and discovery.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Collect relevant information from various sources.
Qualifications (Preferred, Required):
- Demonstrated experience as a receptionist or front desk manager, preferably in an immigration or family law firm.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are advantageous.
- Familiarity with motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, and practices.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent writing and communication abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer and database management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Job Information:
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Work Days: Monday-Friday, in-office
- Location: Onsite in North Austin
- Salary: $45,000-$55,000, dependent on experience
