Description This role sits within Finance IT. It will be aligned to the value stream Recon. It is the reconciliation squad. They use Frontier for their reconciliation tool (mainframe). A big focus for this squad is automating manual work. When they moved to Workday, there was a lot of things that they did have automated to meet the Workday deadline. They moved things to manual to hit a date, so they are going through all manual process and looking to automate. This area is looking for strong junior talent to join their growing team. Job Summary Handle the design and construction of scalable management systems, ensure that all data systems meet company requirements, and also research new uses for data acquisition. Great communication and problem solving skills. Working within an Agile Scrum squad, and focused within Finance IT on the Financial Reconciliation squad. Business Analysis foundation is preferred and the candidate will be provided ample opportunity for growth within this skillset. Required to learn and understand the ins and outs of the industry such as data mining practices, algorithms, and how data can be used. Primary Responsibilities Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems. Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes. Ensure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices. Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures. Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production. Create custom software components and analytics applications. Research new uses for existing data. Employ an array of technological languages and tools to connect systems together. Collaborate with members of your team (eg, data architects, the IT team, data scientists) on the project’s goals. Install/update disaster recovery procedures. Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality. Qualifications Technical Degree or related work experience Experience with non-relational & relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.) Experience programming and/or architecting a back end language (Java, J2EE, etc) Skills Etl, datastage, power shell, scripting, SQL Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be U.S. resident (G.C. or W2) Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
