Job Description
Join our team as a Junior Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator, where you will manage the purchasing function and ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role involves collaborating with internal teams, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting key initiatives like transitioning to NetSuite.
Purchasing Coordination: Manage the purchasing process for raw materials and non-inventory items, including Maintenance,
Repair, and Operations (MRO) purchases.
Vendor Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing, and provide raw material forecasts.
Inbound Shipments: Track and manage shipments of raw materials and finished goods for Canada and the USA, including freight cost estimation and updates to cost templates.
ERP System Management: Support the transition to NetSuite, ensuring accurate data migration and system updates.
Inventory Oversight: Confirm raw material requirements with sites in Acton and North Carolina, ensuring timely purchase order placement and receipt.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at optimizing purchasing and inventory management processes.
Special Projects: Complete additional duties or projects as assigned by the manager.
License/Certification Required
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
