Centrally located in Pryor, Oklahoma, Xcaliber International is the nation's largest value tobacco manufacturer. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all the company and affiliates IT infrastructure, ensuring the secure, reliable, and effective operation of systems, networks, and hardware. This position leads the IT team in planning, executing, and supporting technology initiatives aligned with the company's objectives. The IT Manager will manage resources, processes, and strategies for continual improvement and scalability.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the IT team in providing comprehensive support and IT services to all departments
  • Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and network expansions.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of networks, systems, and data to protect against cyber threats.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Manage IT budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems, minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee user support operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, such as data privacy laws (e.g., HIPPA, GDPR).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, but any bachelor's degree will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Proven experience in system implementation and management, including ERP systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity programs and ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Solid understanding of IT support process, including ticketing systems and user support.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
  • ITIL or PMP certification.
  • Experience with Paylocity, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of network architecture and administration (LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements like SOX, PCI-DSS, or HIPPA.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs of equipment.
  • Available for on-call support and occasional travel as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • The role requires working in both office and industrial environments, including manufacturing floors with potential noise, dust, or varying temperatures.
  • May need to work in small, confined spaces or at heights within facilities.
  • Some weekend, evening, or holiday work may be required to minimize downtime in manufacturing operations.
