Job Description
This company is seeking a hands-on and collaborative Director of IT to lead our growing technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and guide our software development team, acting as a primary advocate for IT priorities
Translate business strategies into actionable digital initiatives in support of broader company objectives
Manage and mentor all IT team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in a smaller team setting
Lead change management efforts as we evolve our technological capabilities
Collaborate closely with business leadership to align IT efforts with company goals
Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation
Oversee vendor relationships and negotiations
Implement and refine project planning, prioritization, and release management processes in an agile environment
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in software development leadership roles
Strong technical background with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Experience in bridging business and IT priorities
Demonstrated success in people management and team leadership
Proficiency in project planning, agile methodologies, and release management
Understanding of software architecture principles and their business applications
Experience with budgetary responsibilities and vendor management
Ability to work on-site in Hartland, Wisconsin for the majority of the week
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software security best practices
Background in product ownership or product strategy
Familiarity with managed IT services and infrastructure oversight
