Description Accent Decor, a wholesale distributor for the home décor, event planning, and floral industries, is searching for a Director of Information Technology to join their growing team. The Director of Information Technology will lead the modernization of the technical landscape, drive digital evolution, and spearhead the transformation of legacy IT through Agile best practices, improved Quality Assurance, and the strategic use of offshore resources. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, drive strategy, make key recommendations, and actively participate in innovative improvements. The essential functions of the role include:
- Manage a team of system administrators, network engineers, developers, and support staff.
- Partner with eCommerce leadership to support company growth and business strategies.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and data centers.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.
- Work with business to ensure PCI Compliance
- Ongoing ERP stabilization & integration with key corporate systems
- Advise on mission-critical solutions for IT transformation.
- Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation.
- Enhance customer service and support company initiatives through technological improvements.
- Develop and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely, scope-compliant, and budget-friendly delivery.
Director of Information Technology | Other: - Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the US now, and anytime in the future.
- Casual but professional work environment
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Local metro Atlanta area candidates strongly preferred
- Strong candidates out of the local area may be considered
Requirements - Bachelor's degree required; higher education preferred.
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in driving business solutions through technology in a multi-functional capacity.
- 5+ years leading IT within a product company & eCommerce ecosystem
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration and support.
- 5+ years managing ERP environments
- 5+ years managing in an Agile environment
- Manage WMS & TMS environments
- Evaluate vendor offerings, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Ability to balance hands-on support with leadership.
- Quick and decisive decision-making skills suitable for a nimble organization with shifting priorities.
- Knowledge / experience in the following areas:
- Ongoing ERP stabilization & integration with key corporate systems
- WMS system selection & implementation
- Warehouse automation tools
- Infrastructure: Networking, Storage, Server, etc.
- End User device management
- Experience with creating, managing, and optimizing scalable database environments
- Must have a project management mindset, with an unerring need to complete any task you've set out to accomplish
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for training and staff development
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on communication, organization, and problem-solving
- Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Ability to make recommendations on when to engage a vendor solution vs self-management
- Evaluate vendor offerings, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
Preferred :
- Magento experience a strong plus
- NetSuite experience another strong plus!
- Understanding of EDI Systems is a huge plus
- Candidate's coming from eCommerce business / channel sales of products will have an added advantage
