About the Israeli-American Council (IAC) The Israeli-American Council (IAC) is committed to building a thriving and united Israeli-American community across the United States. The organization strengthens the relationship between Israeli-Americans and Jewish-Americans, nurtures the next generation, and supports the State of Israel while serving as a bridge to the broader American community. Job Purpose The Director of Teens Engagement & Events will oversee the creation, implementation, and management of community-focused programs and initiatives in the Los Angeles region. This role emphasizes leadership, relationship building, and the delivery of impactful programming, particularly for teens and their families. The Director will play a critical role in enhancing the IAC’s community presence and fostering partnerships, while also leading volunteer and program teams to achieve strategic goals. The Director reports directly to the Regional Director. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership and Development Oversee the design, execution, and growth of Teen Programs and community engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with the IAC’s mission and programs. Develop innovative strategies to engage teens and families, fostering a strong sense of community and cultural identity. Collaborate with IAC leadership to implement regional programming and contribute to nationwide initiatives. Community Engagement and Representation Build and maintain relationships with local community leaders, schools, and partner organizations. Represent the IAC at community meetings, events, and public forums to strengthen visibility and advocacy. Create strategies to engage new and diverse audiences in the Los Angeles region. Event Planning and Management Plan, execute, and oversee community-wide events, including program-specific and cross-community initiatives. Manage event logistics, budgets, marketing, and participant engagement to ensure successful execution. Partner with local organizations to enhance event outreach and impact. Leadership and Volunteer Coordination Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and program facilitators to support community and teen programs. Empower community members to take active leadership roles within the IAC’s initiatives. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for all team members and volunteers. Operational Oversight and Reporting Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance. Maintain accurate records of participant engagement, volunteer activities, and program outcomes. Provide detailed reports and evaluations to the Regional Director and IAC leadership. Required Skills and Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership, focusing on the Israeli-American or Jewish-American sectors. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding and connection to Israeli and American identities, cultures, and traditions. Proven ability to lead and manage complex programs and teams. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking. Demonstrated success in building partnerships and community networks. Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. Fluent in Hebrew and English Technical Proficiency Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and social media platforms. Experience with event management software and data reporting tools is a plus.
