We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to play a key role in aligning our people strategies with our business objectives. As the HR Business Partner, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to frontline and mid-level leaders, providing strategic and tactical HR support to enhance team performance, engagement, and alignment with our mission. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with leaders at the ground level, tackle workforce challenges, and champion initiatives that uphold and advance Royal Ambulance’s culture and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with leaders to understand business needs and implement HR strategies that drive results
  • Guide organizational design, workforce planning, and team structure to optimize performance
  • Act as a bridge between employees and leadership, fostering open communication and alignment

Employee Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, handling concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Conduct investigations and resolve workplace issues fairly and consistent
  • Coach leaders on effective approaches to address employee concerns and improve team dynamics.

Leadership Development & Support

  • Coach leaders on people management, performance feedback, and conflict resolution
  • Identify skill gaps and collaborate with leaders on tailored development initiatives
  • Support succession planning to build a pipeline of future leaders

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Develop engagement strategies in partnership with leaders, based on survey insights and team feedback
  • Collaborate on DEIB initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace
  • Champion programs that reinforce employee well-being, recognition, and career growth

Performance Management

  • Drive the performance management process, ensuring alignment between individual and organizational goals
  • Provide tools and training for leaders to deliver effective feedback and develop high-performing teams.

Change Management

  • Support organizational changes with clear communication, training, and tools
  • Monitor employee impact and provide feedback to leadership to address challenges proactively.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, leadership coaching, and performance management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable workforce insights.
