The Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician provides specialized inpatient care focusing on symptom management and support for patients with serious, life-threatening illnesses. Working in a multidisciplinary team at North Colorado Medical Center, the physician treats conditions such as cancer, dementia, and neurological disorders, and helps patients and families navigate complex care needs. This position serves the growing community in Northern Colorado at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, the qualified candidate will provide primarily inpatient care helping patients and their families deal with serious life-threatening illnesses and symptom management.

Position Requirements and Information:

  • BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Primarily inpatient coverage with clinic once per week
  • Monday-Friday work schedule with 4 10 hour shifts/week
  • 8-10 patients per day; treating patients with cancer, dementia, neurological disorders and other illnesses
  • No evenings, weekends, or call
  • Desire and ability to help grow Palliative Care within the community
  • Build collaborative relationships and provide education to colleagues and patients
  • Current team is comprised of 2 NPs, MSW, Practice Coordinator, and an MA
  • Hospital privileges at North Colorado Medical Center
