Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description Since 1955, our company has been a trusted supplier of high-quality gears and gear-related products for original equipment manufacturers, Tier I, Tier II, and aftermarket manufacturers in the transportation industry. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Production Worker to join our team. Responsibilities Produce parts and perform quality inspection of finished parts. Pack parts and prepare them for shipments. Document production numbers as needed. Follow general instructions to ensure smooth production processes. Maintain a clean and neat workstation before and after shifts. Assist others during slow times by seeking additional tasks. Lift up to 40-50 lbs. Essential Skills Experience with hand tools, general labor, and general production. Ability to handle materials and perform assembly, packaging, and packing. Proficiency in machine operation and use of a tape measure. Experience in loading, picking, and working on a production line. Inventory management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have at least 6 months of recent manufacturing experience. Good attendance record from previous employment. Punctuality and readiness to work. Required to wear non-slip shoes and safety glasses. Why Work Here? Enjoy a $0.50 shift premium once you move to the 3rd shift after the training period. Work Environment Our facility is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working environment. We have on-site tool vending machines for convenience. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, non-slip shoes, and safety glasses. The role is on the 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with training directly on the third shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
