A bit about us: Do you have experience as a Tutor or Teacher, working with high school aged students to help them understand Math and/or English? If you would like to make a difference to help students 9th Grade through 12th Grade in the Baltimore City and Baltimore County Schools then this role is for you!
We need 10 reliable, dedicated, and experienced tutors, who are passionate about working with troubled youth in with Baltimore City or Baltimore County Schools. Upon receiving the position and you'll stay with the same school and students for the duration of the tutoring assignment/school year, which is through the beginning of June.
The ideal candidate has experience in teaching, or as a tutor, has worked with students in title one schools, or with underprivileged school districts or with some behavioral challenges and can build relationships to help those students thrive and has experience with documentation to show progress. We'd love several tutors who are bilingual in Spanish.
Hours are 7am-3pm sharp, Monday-Friday, working onsite in the school, full time hours. There is no part time, nights or weekends. You will be working in the schools, with supervisor support to help tutor English and Math, assisting up to 4 students at a time. This is a full time position.
You must have strong references, be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting and Maryland Sex Offender Background Check before starting.
Bilingual in any language a huge plus, especially Spanish!
Compensation is $25/hour, plus benefits while on contract for these roles.
Possibility to join the team permanently after the contract period with a pay bump as well!

Job Details - Tutor 3-4 kids at a time throughout several sessions each day in English and/or Math. Preference to tutor both subjects. Following the provided instructions provided for each student on what they are to cover that week. You do not need to design the tutoring, it's structured.
- Filling out daily documentation to support what was covered and where the students are in their progress
- Working Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm at the designated school you are assigned to. You will follow the school schedule with any half day. holidays, and school breaks, so the number of hours you work will follow the school schedule.
- Must be able to commit to working through the end of the school year in June.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Maryland Sex Offender Background Check paid for by the organization
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
