Kelly Science has an Immediate opening for a Food Safety Specialist (Contract)

Location: Memphis, TN

Contract Duration: 3-5 Months

Pay: $30-$40/hr DOE

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll lead efforts to evaluate, refine, and enhance our food safety systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Enhance Food Safety Protocols : Assess and optimize HACCP plans, GMPs, and sanitation practices to meet regulatory and industry standards.

• SQF Certification Expertise : Guide the team in achieving or maintaining SQF certification by conducting gap analyses, preparing documentation, and leading corrective actions.

• Educate and Empower : Deliver impactful training to Quality Technicians and staff on SQF principles, HACCP fundamentals, and food safety best practices.

• Audit and Compliance Leadership : Perform internal audits and support third-party audits to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory bodies.

• Document and Report : Maintain accurate, up-to-date food safety documentation and draft reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to enhance food safety processes and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience : 3-5 years of food safety experience, with a strong focus on SQF Certification and HACCP programs.

• Certifications : HACCP, SQF, ServSafe, or PCQI certification is required.

• Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and 21 CFR 210-211 regulations is essential.

• Skills :

• Exceptional communication and training skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Availability : Must be on-site in Memphis, TN for the duration of the contract.
