About the Role
The organization is on the lookout for an Executive Director to lead its mission-driven nonprofit, focused on empowering and advocating for patients with histiocytic disorders. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, manage overall operations, and serve as a passionate spokesperson for the community. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in nonprofit management, proven fundraising success, and community engagement experience. Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare management, public health, or nonprofit administration, along with a minimum of 5 years of impactful leadership experience in nonprofit settings. This experience should include demonstrated success in fundraising, public relations, and program development. Strong skills in grant writing, donor relations, and innovative fundraising strategies are critical, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and motivate a dedicated team. Experience in advocacy related to rare diseases or chronic health conditions, coupled with a strong commitment to supporting patients and their families, is highly valued. This position also requires operational excellence, emotional intelligence, and proficiency in technology and computer applications.
