Salary:

Bluerock Underground provides underground horizontal boring, excavating and underground utility installation to internet service providers, public water, public sewer and other utilities.

Overview:

We are currently on the lookout for a full-time excavator operator to join our team. Schedules vary depending on the job. Regional travel is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Effectively operate 35 to 60 class excavators.
• Install underground customer enclosures in and around utility right of ways.
• Trench conduit to specified depth.
• Ability to read customer provided blueprints.
• Use company smart phone app to clock in and out of assigned job daily.
• Reserve and provide receipt for hotel stays.
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites as required.
• Perform recommended daily excavator maintenance as required.

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or vocational training/certification.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in the same or similar industry.
• Communicates professionally, respectfully and honestly at all times.
• Travel required.
• This position requires a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The general work environment is a field environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

• Sit for long periods of time (up to an entire workday) while operating equipment, including the constant use of hand and foot controls.
• Lift, place materials, stand, walk, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, crouch, speak and hear continuously.
• Lift up to 100lbs.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Wear safety equipment: as per OSHA requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, gloves, etc.
• Be safety and customer-focused, without exception.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug screening. Employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.

This is a full-time position with health insurance benefits. Candidates must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
