Who are we?

XP League is an esports league that is modeled after classic coach-led youth sports organizations.

Through coach and player training, which is custom-tailored by the PCA and our program director, anyone can become a successful coach. Even parents with no video game or esports experience will be able to connect with their kids on a level they had never imagined.

What are we looking for?

XP League Esports Macomb and XP League Esports Troy , are searching for local esports coaches, casters, graphics designers, photographers, and other volunteers to help with our esports teams competing in the Detroit, Michigan Metro area. This includes our locations in

• Macomb, Michigan - Remote Only
• West Bloomfield, Michigan - The Sports Club of West Bloomfield

Our current teams compete in

• Overwatch
• Fortnite *
• Rocket League
• Valorant
• Apex Legends *
• Minecraft

* These titles have an immediate need

Positions are part-time and include work in the evenings during the week and the afternoons on Saturdays. Positions are hourly; advancement to management is available for the right candidate.

Candidates should:

• Embrace the principles of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Coaches are trained, if not familiar.
• Be willing to complete our Certified Coach Course with Next Level Esports
• Be enthusiastic about gaming, coaching, casting, and esports in general.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Patient, understanding.
• Work well with others; collaborates.
• Knowledgeable about esports and technology; or sharp enough to quickly pick up the basic concepts.
• Experience with Facebook, Twitch.tv, Stream Labs, OBS
• Enjoys working with kids
• Takes pride in their work

Preference is given to Coaches with experience in:

• Working with children
• Working with the public
• Gaming
• Teaching or mentoring
• Esports Nationally ranked players and College esports athletes.

Preference is given to Casters with experience in:

• Twitch.tv
• Stream Labs
• OBS

Qualifications

• Experience one or more of the following games: Fortnite, Overwatch, Rocket League, or Valorant.
• Experience coaching / mentoring youth or young adult programs.
• Proven work history with children ages 7 and up, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
• Familiarity with technology, Microsoft suite, social media, and office equipment.
• Flexible schedule
• Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Coach an Esports Team OR Cast Esports Matches
• Help provide league tours/tryouts while maintaining awareness of players currently in the league.
• Engage with children and families in the league.
• Ensure the league is a fun and safe learning environment for our players.
• Uphold corporate standards with respect to league cleanliness & operational standards.
• Ability to think on the fly and be perceptive to league dynamics.
• Report to the League Commissioner on progress and issues.
