Electric Pallet Jack Forklift Operator Job Summary:

The EPJ Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating an electric pallet jack to transport, organize, and stock materials in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure that products are moved to the correct locations, inventory is kept accurate, and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Electric Pallet Jack Forklift Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Electric Pallet Jack: Safely operate an electric pallet jack to move pallets of products within the warehouse.
• Material Handling: Load and unload pallets from trucks, shelves, and racking systems.
• Inventory Organization: Organize and place products in designated areas, ensuring accuracy in stock rotation.
• Order Fulfillment: Assist with picking and packing orders, ensuring that products are gathered and staged according to order specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.
• Record Keeping: Document the movement of goods within the warehouse and assist in maintaining accurate inventory logs.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, operating procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful completion of daily tasks.

Electric Pallet Jack Forklift Operator Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience operating electric pallet jacks is required.
• Certifications:   Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to read labels, check order specifications, and identify discrepancies.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues.
• Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if necessary.
• Shift Schedule : Sunday-Wednesday (7am-5:30pm), Donut shift (M, T, Th, F, 7am-5:30pm)

Electric Pallet Jack Forklift Operator Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a warehouse setting.

Electric Pallet Jack Forklift Operator Working Conditions:

• Warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and changing temperatures.
• Required to wear appropriate safety gear (e.g., hard hat, gloves, safety shoes) during working hours.
