Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the performance and strategic direction of a high-end dining establishment in New York City. The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing all aspects of operations, ensuring seamless execution of service, and upholding the highest standards of quality, hospitality, and profitability. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the highest levels of service, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop management teams to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management, to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to maintain consistency in food and service standards.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Spearhead training and development initiatives to elevate team performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to create strategies that enhance brand visibility and attract new clientele.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving financial and operational goals in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards in upscale dining.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • A hands-on approach to management and a commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software and industry-specific tools.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
