Description: We are recruiting for positions across Space Systems Command, which is an entity of the new branch of the military, the U.S. Space Force, specifically for our Los Angeles Air Force Base location in El Segundo, CA. The opportunities listed are for our Junior Operations Research Analyst. In support of the Space Force's most technically advanced systems, these positions have the responsibility to: Conduct research projects; Lead data collections and data normalization; Perform regression, statistical, and trend analysis; Utilize mathematical techniques; Monitor and report contract performance; Forecast schedule requirements; Provide data driven decision support. Ideal Candidate: Employee must meet Core Certification Standards for training and/or education and experience required for certification at Level 2 for this career field within 24 months of assignment to position. This position has Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Educational Requirements for Business, Cost Estimating: Baccalaureate degree in engineering, statistics, or other Math intensive field of study. 03 semester credit hours from a calculus course and 21 semester credit hours in any combination of the following fields of study: operations research, economics, mathematics, chemistry, physics or other sciences where the utilization of advanced mathematical skills in geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and/or quantitative analysis.
