Job Title: Controller
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
SUMMARY
To maintain accounting, personnel, and administrative books and records in accordance with applicable laws and in a manner that satisfies GAAP and tax reporting requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Has the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policy, procedure manuals and/or state and federal regulations. Has the ability to read and interpret accounting rules and tax law. Has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Has the ability to speak effectively before groups of agency personnel or employees of company. Speaks some Spanish.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Has the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Has the ability to understand and perform calculus including derivatives and integrals including vectors and differential equations. Well versed in stoichiometry and other chemical and physics equations.
REASONING ABILITY
Has the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to produce complicated excel spreadsheets to track and reconcile various accounting issues.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required to pass substance abuse test and will remain on random drug test list .
The employee is required to perform the job in a safe and sensible manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
