Gunite Specialists, Inc., Ambler, PA is hiring for (30) full-time seasonal workers to mix gunite and apply to pool and surfaces using pneumatic guns. Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels and floats. Position, join, align, or seal structural components. Prepare and clean site. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools. Smooth or finish freshly poured cement, gunite, or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Mix ingredients to create compounds, such as for covering or cleaning surfaces. Spray materials, including water, sand, and steam through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces. Tend machines that pump concrete, gunite, grout, cement, or sand through spray guns for application to swimming pools, floors, or walls. Employer will offer 40/hrs; 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.
No experience or education needed. Worker will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. Transportation provided by employer from central location to worksites; $32.13hr - 1 overtime $48.20. Work will be performed in multiple worksites PA: Lehigh Lancaster, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, Berks and Lebanon; NJ: Burlington.
In addition to the wages, hrs and locations above, employer will use a single work week as a standard for computing wages due. Worker will be paid at least every 2 weeks by check and in some cases every week. Position does not provide for board, lodging or other facilities.
Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Worker will be provided with or reimbursed for transportation and expenses from the place of recruitment to the place of work either by paying directly for the transportation or reimbursing the worker for the costs, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period. Employer will also pay for the workers costs of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of recruitment where the worker will return if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of this period. Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite if necessary and applicable. Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, except passport fees and other related fees including those mandated by the government. Employer will also provide worker without charge or any deposit all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job.
Employer will also apply the guarantee offering the worker employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least of the workdays of each twelve week period since the period of employment covered by this job order is 120 or more days. Amount for daily subsistence will be at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts. In determining the appropriate amount of reimbursement for meals for less than a full day, the employer may provide for meal expense reimbursement, with receipts, up to 75 percent of the maximum reimbursement for meals, or $51.00
