Von & Bick Healthcare Associates is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with a focus on providing care for clients with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges (DBHDD). As a DSP-CNA/Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by offering personalized support, fostering independence, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment. Patient will need care M-F 9 am-5 pm. Every other week M-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.

Responsibilities:

Personalized Care:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the health and well-being of clients

Behavioral Support:

• Implement and follow behavioral support plans designed for each individual
• Employ positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies

Assessment and Planning:

• Participate in the development and updating of individualized care plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess client needs and progress
• Report observations and concerns to supervisors and participate in team meetings

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting care provided and any significant changes
• Report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences promptly and in accordance with policies

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide updates on client progress and participate in regular team meetings

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
• Previous experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and implement crisis intervention techniques
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
