Job Summary

This Position provides expertise for safely operating, controlling, and analyzing the processes in the plant. Ensure that the production department conforms to the company quality procedures. Reports to the plant manager and interacts with maintenance, engineering, lab, shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

+The successful candidates will assist in all phases of the batch production.

+ Perform manufacturing tasks, operating, and controlling reactors, electric motors, pumps, valves, filters, columns, etc.

+ Weigh, measure, and check raw materials/productions to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities and that accurate inventory is maintained.

+ Complete and accurately record data such as temperature of equipment, hours of operations, raw materials, and pressure of reactors.

+ learn and perform batch analyses ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Maintain a safe and clean production area and ensure equipment is cleaned after use to meet all requirements for housekeeping.

+ Communicate with plant manager regarding safety, production, quality, or any other operational issues.
+ Learn and follow safety regulations and wears the prescribed personal protective equipment. 

+ Operate material handling equipment, such as forklift, drum dollies, hoists, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in chemical operations or a related field is advantageous.

+ In-depth knowledge of batch processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures with proven experience as a Chemical Operator in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to interpret technical documents, such as batch sheets, process flow diagrams, and equipment manuals. Accurately measure, weigh, and mix chemicals according to precise formulations.

+ Proficient in basic computer skills and math calculations to charge and weigh up raw materials.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to respond effectively to operational challenges to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow while implementing corrective actions if required.

+ Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in various environmental conditions, including with chemicals (non-Haz & Haz), while adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

+Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced batch operation.

+ Ability to work in different shifts and to be available for overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as necessary for the role.

Certification & Licenses

The hired employees will be required to possess the forklift operator’s certification and boiler license. Training programs are available and provided by the company.
