Role: Business Systems Analyst

Type: Part Time initially 

Duration: 6-9 months
Location: Downtown Los Angeles - Mostly Remote
Start Date: ASAP

We’re hiring a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to support a government agency’s initiative to digitize forms and transition to a paperless environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery and analysis sessions to understand business needs
• Analyze business processes and identify system-based improvements
• Gather and document detailed business and technical requirements
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
• Evaluate current systems and propose enhancements or integrations
• Support system testing, implementation, and post-deployment analysis
• Develop reports, dashboards, and insights to aid decision-making
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives and compliance standards

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of online business systems development process.
• Experience leading discovery and analysis sessions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• 3+ years of experience in business or systems analysis
• Proficiency with modeling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN) and requirements gathering
• Strong understanding of databases, ERP systems, and data analysis tools
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are a plus
