Position Overview

The Bridge Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bridge construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of civil construction practices, particularly in bridge and structural work.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs for concrete, steel, earthwork, and other bridge components.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid proposals and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing.
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain competitive estimates.
• Assist in value engineering and risk analysis for projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating for bridge or heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of DOT specifications and standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects.
