Instruct various courses in the Criminal Justice curriculum. Positions are usually open in the evenings, however, day-time slots are sometimes available. Courses could be face-to-face or web courses. Must prepare syllabus and lesson plans according to curriculum and board policy standards. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Working knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Working knowledge of the careers in criminal justice. Knowledge of Blackboard. Good oral and written communication. Good organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to adhere to student learning outcomes and course goals/objectives. Ability to teach online and in the classroom to students with differing learning styles. Ability to motivate students in online and classroom learning environments. Ability to adopt and incorporate new and innovative teaching elements and technologies into online and classroom courses. Ability to manage online and face-to-face classroom environments. Ability to advise students with course selection. Ability to build and strengthen community relationships in the criminal justice field. Essential Functions: Instruct various courses in the Criminal Justice curriculum. Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Subject Matter Experts are also considered. At least three years practical field experience in law enforcement.
