Position Summary

The Kitchen Utility Associate will physically move food and equipment for cleaning throughout the shift, and for timely startups each morning. It will prepare rooms and machinery for production, pull chemicals from storage for sanitation and verify product count and supplies.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Partner cross-functionally with various Moms Meals departments, as well as our 3rd party sanitation contractor
• The main priority of the position will be to physically move food and equipment as needed for cleaning throughout the shift as well as moving food and product for efficient and timely startups each morning
• Assist in various functions assigned by management to ensure on time startups each day for production lines
• Assist in preparing the rooms and machines for the following days production, including pulling ingredients for start-up, staging and labeling bins and carts, staging supplies needed for production, and moving equipment and food from the cooler or dock locations to the kitchen
• Team member must become pallet jack and forklift certified; this certification will be done internally
• Pull chemicals from storage for sanitation contractor when needed
• Verify and count product or supplies when needed
• Use of a barcode scanner when necessary
• Completion of daily checklists and paperwork assigned by management

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in a production environment
• Experience in a food production environment
• Must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally in a collaborative manner
• Pallet jack and forklift certified (will train internally)
• Employee must be self-directed and have the ability to stay on task
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems or barcode scanners
• At least 80% of day will be spent in chilled and frozen temperatures
• Must be able to move equipment weighing as much as 800lbs
• Must be able to work flexible shifts as required based on the needs of the business
• Weekend work may be required based on the needs of the business

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in a food production environment
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems or barcode scanners

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
• Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Able to perform repetitive movements
• Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
